IN PRODUCTION:

Shawano:
Science North was recently in Wisconsin filming segments of an IMAX movie entitled Wonders of the Great Lakes. The project was shot on a IW5A 65mm Camera which weighed in at a mere 98 pounds including the lens and 1000 feet of film. The film is scheduled to be released in Spring 2008. JSOnline visited the set in Shawano.

Milwaukee:
The Milwaukee Art Museum attracts production from halfway around the world. Hyundai Motors visited Milwaukee to use the Museum as a location for a new ad campaign. We would like to thank the good people at Film Wisconsin for suggesting the production company use The Wisconsin Production Guide to find local crew and equipment.

NEW GEAR IN TOWN:

Kino Flo BarFly 200 Kit - The brighter, smaller & lighter BarFly's deliver more lumens per square inch than any other full-spectrum fluorescent source on the market. The BarFly 200's are compact at only 2" deep, 15" long & 9" wide, & still pack in 110w of high-output Kino Flo "True Match" daylight or tungsten power. They're perfect to squeeze into that hard to rig spot on your next shoot. At six feet the BarFly 200 puts out about the same amount of light as a 500W softlight, and draws only two amps of power.
