COMMENTARY:

ON THE LOT

I watched the first two episodes of On The Lot mostly because I felt I had to. I had a feeling when this started that this show would be a reality show first and an attempt to find hidden talent second. What else would you expect from Mark Burnett? The best thing about this show so far is that it is completely forgettable.

You'd think that filmmakers like Brett Ratner (Santa's Slay, Untitled Brett Ratner Project) could put together something better than Survivor meets Flavor of Love. Other reality shows have worse prizes than a million dollar film deal (did I mention Flavor of Love?) but a million dollars only gets you 1/25th of an A-List actor these days.

If Hollywood is trying to find hidden talent here's an idea: Visit a film festival.
