FILM FESTIVAL NEWS

The 2007 Milwaukee International Film Festival (MIFF) kicks off its season this week with the opening of the MIFF box office, a press conference and VIP Party. The fifth annual film festival will run Sept. 20-30 at Landmark’s Oriental and Downer Theatres, the Times Cinema, the Milwaukee Art Museum, Discovery World and the UWM Union Theatre.

FILM INCENTIVE NEWS


Updated rules are available on the "Film Incentives" page at filmwisconsin.us. The Department of Commerce has sent this version of the rules to the Legislature to be assigned to a committee. These rules may still be subject to change based on the committee's review.


FROM THE SET

National Geographic Explorer visited Wisconsin last month to film a portion of an episode called "The Science of Evil". They interviewed the pastor who baptized Jeff Dahmer a few months before he was killed in prison.

Topanga Productions filmed 2nd unit photography in Milwaukee for a NBC pilot called "The Watch" starring Lou Diamond Phillips and Billy Burke.
