Tax Tips
Due to increases in gas prices the IRS is raising the allowable deduction for business miles to 58.5 cents per mile. This is effective for all business miles driven from July 1, 2008, through Dec. 31, 2008. "Rising gas prices are having a major impact on individual Americans. Given the increase in prices, the IRS is adjusting the standard mileage rates to better reflect the real cost of operating an automobile," said IRS Commissioner Doug Shulman. "We want the reimbursement rate to be fair to taxpayers."Taxpayers always have the option of calculating the actual costs of using their vehicle rather than using the standard mileage rates.

EPIC Creative is Moving
Upon completion, EPIC will operate the largest new-construction production facility in the state with a total of 33,630 square feet. The area will include a 72' x 72' sound stage.“I can’t think of a more exciting time in EPIC’s history,” says Jim Becker, president of EPIC Creative. “When the agency first started, we operated out of a garage, so to move into a building of this magnitude – it solidifies 19 years of hard work and dedication from a multi-dimensional team of talented, creative people.”

The move is in part due to an incentive from the city of West Bend.
