The Badger Guide noticed an error in the caption; it should have read: Experienced golf cart driver and Key Grip Clay Simchick shoots a scene along Milwaukee's lakefront for The Watch. (Modern grammar says television shows should be in italics.) |
Film Incentive News
There has been a lot of recent press activity regarding the next film incentive bill. Proposals for 2009 by the Department of Commerce have been strongly opposed by Film Wisconsin, but it doesn't seem like the DOC is budging. According to the Department of Commerce Public Enemies was not a good investment. Among the approved expenditures was Michael Mann's $2 million dollar salary and the wrap party which apparently occurred in Chicago.Katjusa Cisar has a very informative article in Square 77 regarding the dispute.
We filed an open records request with the Department of Commerce and was advised that NBC Universal intends to file a court petition to prevent the information from being released.
